Open Door is the name adopted by a small group of people, back in 1982, who perceived the need for a day centre which would provide facilities and activities for adults with physical disabilities in North Wicklow and South County Dublin.
Over the past 35 years the activities have developed and now include art, music, physiotherapy, woodwork, computers and ceramics. Members enjoy a new outlook on life and benefit from the many activities available.
We are proud to be able to assure those who support us that all funds raised go towards providing essential services for our members. Our accounts are available for inspection and are registered at Charities Regulatory Authority
We are committed to quality and training, to provide inclusive and empowering activities for people with physical and sensory disabilities, in a welcoming, encouraging and social environment.
We aspire to be the best in our field, providing person centered activities, taking into consideration each person’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, ensuring that every adult with physical and sensory disabilities in our community has access to our service.
