POWERLIFT FOR OPEN DOOR

Paralympic athlete, Reg Byrne will lift 10 Tonne in a unique Powerlift to highlight Paralympic Powerlifting and also to help raise much needed funds for Open Door Day Centre. Reg was born with Spina Bifida and has only recently taken up powerlifting. Within the past 15 months Reg has competed in 6 international competitions and has won 3 bronze & 3 silver. He also competed at and came 9th in the European Championships. Reg also competed in the World Championships in Dubai this year.
Our wristbands for €1
On 27th September at 2.00 pm, Reg will lift 10,460 KG (10 Tonne) over a two hour period in Open Door Day Centre, Vevay Road, Bray. Please come along to this unique event and cheer Reg on as he attempts this major physical challenge. To support Reg in his quest to help adults with physical disabilities you can purchase a branded ‘Powerlifting’ wristband for the nominal fee of €1. Each wristband sold represents 1 KG of the overall 10,460 KG (10 Tonne) challenge. Wristbands are available from Open Door Day Centre and Unique Drycleaners.
